CLEVELAND POLICE WIN ‘MAGNUM SHIELD’ NATIONAL POLICE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

On Thursday 5th June 2014 the ‘Magnum Shield’ National Police Football Tournament final took place at stadiummk, home ground of MK Dons FC.

The competition, consisting of group stages, the last 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final saw serving police officers, including civilian workers and PCSO’s battle it out to be crowned champions for 2014.

Graced with blue skies and sunshine, the match between Cleveland Police and MET Police kicked off at 6pm. By the end of the 90 minutes there was no room for doubt over the title winners, with Cleveland Police scoring 4 goals to MET Police’s 0, seeing them champions and inaugural winners of the ‘Magnum Shield’, marking the beginning of an institution.
