Skills for Justice launch Career Pathways portal
Wednesday, 11 May, 2011
Skills for Justice have recently launched the Career Pathways portal on their new look website at www.skillsforjustice-cp.com
The portal, developed with the support of Christie & Christie Ltd and Careers Writers Association, has been designed to help individuals, from both inside and outside the Justice, Community Safety and Legal Services sector, to navigate their way through the maze of progression routes and job roles.
Initially funded by the Department of Business Innovation and Skills (DBIS) to provide careers information for the careers service in England, the project was taken forward by Skills for Justice with the help of a number of employers. It is hoped that it will raise awareness about the variety of job roles within the sector, what they involve and the requirements needed for the different positions.
Chris Chapman, Careers Information, Advice and Guidance Researcher at Skills for Justice, who headed up the projects said: "The Justice, Community Safety and Legal Services sector careers can appear very complex. It is hoped that the Career Pathways will help simplify it, so that individuals can find out more about the varied, interesting and challenging roles available to anyone who is interested in a career that contributes to a safer and fairer society".
