Police Modernisation Director joins Northgate to transform public services

Northgate Public Services today announces the appointment of Gary Headland to the new post of Director of Transformation for Public Safety as the company steps up its response to the challenges posed by the age of austerity.
Gary's appointment takes effect from November 1st 2010, days after the Comprehensive Spending Review. He will be responsible for spearheading Northgate's central and local transformation partnership work across the public sector with particular emphasis on criminal justice, health and social care.
The company has developed an innovative risk-reward approach, hugely popular with local councils, focused on performance enhancement and delivering efficiencies, where all fees come out of guaranteed cashable savings. It believes that this model could be widely applied throughout public services.
Gary joins Northgate from Norfolk Constabulary where he is currently the Director of Performance and Modernisation. His appointment underlines Northgate's commitment to supporting its public services partners to develop an innovative approach to providing better services for less.
