DCC Chris Weigh
Lancashire Police Authority has announced
the appointment of Chris Weigh as the next Deputy Chief Constable of Lancashire Constabulary.
Previously Lancashire Constabulary's Assistant Chief Constable, a position
he took up in April 2008, has taken the lead on policing across all of the county's divisions and coordinating the
work of the criminal justice department.
Chair of the Police Authority, Cllr Malcolm Doherty, said the Authority was delighted with the appointment and added: "Chris brings a wealth of experience to the role which will be invaluable in the challenging times
ahead."
After his appointment had been announced,
Chris Weigh said: "I am immensely proud and honoured to be selected for the role. I am looking forward to the challenges the position holds for me, both personally
and professionally, and to helping the
Constabulary to continue to deliver first
class policing in the future."
