A bumper catch for Stacey

Catching criminals comes easy, it seems, to Bolton police officer Stacey Rigby, who has made more than 100 arrests in the last year.
The proud winner of the division's Matt Dyson Trophy, 26 year-old Stacey joined GMP four years ago and works as a response officer in the Bolton East area. She also links with warrant officers to trace and arrest people who have failed to report at court.
Stacey has made 102 arrests in the last year, many of which have led to detections for the division.
The Matt Dyson Trophy is awarded annually to an officer showing significant dedication to duty and is presented by Mrs Doreen Ingram in memory of her son, an Astley Bridge based officer who died suddenly in 1990 aged 26.
Stacey has been involved in a number of high profile operations aimed at reducing youth nuisance and vandalism as well as Operation Polka, which targeted prostitution and kerb-crawling.
Bolton Divisional Commander Chief Superintendent Dave Lea said, "Stacey brings out mixed emotions from the people of Bolton, the law abiding majority are hugely reassured by her presence, but her no-nonsense approach does leave the criminal minority quaking in their boots!
"She is a real role model and her amazing arrest sheet this year, double that of the average officer, has helped to make Bolton a safer, crime-free town for everyone to enjoy."
