Join our dynamic team as a Financial Intelligence Officer within the Environment Agency's Economic Crime Unit, a vital part of Enforcement & Investigations in the National Enforcement Service. Here, we lead financial investigations and provide essential guidance on the Proceeds of Crime Act legislation to empower the wider Environment Agency enforcement community.
In this role, you'll collaborate with fellow Financial Intelligence Officers, Financial Investigators, and a Senior Crime Analyst while contributing to various facets of the unit's mission: You'll become an integral part of a dedicated, nationally recognized team committed to ensuring that environmental criminals don't profit from their wrongdoing. Our core mission is to deprive them of unlawfully gained assets while safeguarding the environment.

What do I need?
- Ideally, you should have accreditation as a Financial Intelligence Officer through the National Crime Agency. Alternatively, a strong willingness to complete necessary training with our guidance.
- Proven experience in crime intelligence, financial intelligence, and/or investigations.
- Essential IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Data interpretation and trend identification abilities.
- Effective workload organization and prioritization.
- Adaptability in communication and behavior across various situations and with different individuals.
- Ability to work independently and integrate into a dispersed team.
- Proficiency in computer literacy and accurate information recording.
- To handle information securely as per government guidelines.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 legislation (desirable).
- SC and NPPV security clearance preferred, or willingness to undergo and achieve the required clearance, essential for the role.

Additional Information:
Location: You can work from anywhere in England, but you'll be assigned to an Environment Agency office as your base.
Working Arrangements: We offer a hybrid work model, combining home and office work. Occasional travel and overnight stays may be necessary for team meetings and operational requirements.
Flexibility: We welcome part-time and flexible work arrangements, but you must be open to occasional work away from your home base.
